We are delighted to announce our latest project – Alone Together.
It is a one stop digital space designed to engage young people in thinking about their mental health during the Corona Virus crisis. The project will blend creative drama content, performed by Peer Productions’ young actors, with access to resilience building exercises and access to further information and support.
‘Alone Together’ will be a semi-improvised mini-series following the lives of a small class of year 12 pupils as they check in, via video conferencing software, with their form tutor over the first 50 days of lockdown. From each episode, our audience will be able to carve their own path through the online portal focussing on their own specific areas of concern. The portal will offer them information and guidance on strategies for self care as well as links to enable self referral for counselling support if required.
This project will be led by our Artistic Director playwright Nina Lemon working with improvisation expert Lucy Fennell, digital theatre experts C&T and mental health expert charities Heads Together (YMCA) and Learning Space.
Seed funding for this project has been provided by Arts Council England Covid Response Fund.
