Nina Lemon

Artistic Director

Nina founded Peer Productions back in 2006 and leads our creative output and development.  She is our founder trustee as well as our resident playwright and oversees all artistic aspects of the organisation.

Nina’s interests, as both an artist and an individual, lie in the furthering of human rights and she is particularly passionate about improving life changes for often marginalised groups including young people, disabled people and women and girls.

Nina read Drama and Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway University and is currently researching a PhD at Central School of Speech and Drama exploring how plays can be used to change the way teenagers think and behave in intimate relationships.

For two years, Nina was part of  the Nuffield Theatre’s playwriting group under the mentorship of National Theatre Studio founder John Burgess.

Prior to founding Peer Productions, Nina has worked extensively as a director, writer and project manager in a wide range of artistic, community and educational settings.

Outside of work, Nina is a mum to two beautiful, autistic daughters.
