Madeline Carter

Madeleine is an Australian actor, theatre practitioner and facilitator based in the UK. She trained at East 15 Acting School and holds an MA from the Shakespeare Institute, completed in partnership with the RSC in 2021. As a performer and practitioner, she is interested in how classical theatre can be used to empower young people to gain confidence and find empowerment through language. Madeleine is also a puppeteer and puppet-maker passionate about the power of puppetry in creative practice and performance. She enjoys facilitating a wide range of workshops for children and young people on topics including Shakespeare and puppetry.

Madeleine is Artistic Director of Sisu Theatre, a female-led company producing new writing and devised theatre with particular focus on environmental conservation, mental health and community enrichment.
