projects

At Peer Productions, we believe that all young people have the right to high quality drama outreach programmes that can build their self esteem, improve their communication skills and help them to navigate the challenging world around them. By taking part in workshops and creative theatre activities young peoples’ lives can be transformed.

We are especially passionate about providing opportunities for young people who may not otherwise have the chance to explore their creative skills and we specialise in projects where creativity can be a catalyst for social change.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

We are always keen to hear from young people or those that support them with ideas for new initiatives and programmes. We regularly create bespoke workshops to meet the needs of different groups so do get in touch with us if you’d like to work with us.

Some of our outreach projects are delivered in partnership with specific schools, colleges or community groups whereas others bring together like minded individuals who might not have met before.

You can find out about the outreach projects we are currently running below.

Project Purple

Project Purple is a brand new youth theatre designed to work with different groups of young people who all have an interest in drama and performing.

We launched our pilot project in April 2024 where we worked with a group of young people aged 13-18 to devise a performance. Over the ten week programme, participants learnt performance and devising skills to help build their confidence, form new friendships and explore their creativity.

Generation Projects

Our Generation Girls and Generation Guys projects are run in partnership with SEN schools. They are designed for young Autistic people or young people with learning disabilities. Over a 10 week programme we provide a safe and creative space to explore lots of different issues that are important to all teenagers like sex and relationships, body image and mental health.
