projects

At Peer Productions, we believe that all young people have the right to high quality drama outreach programmes that can build their self esteem, improve their communication skills and help them to navigate the challenging world around them. By taking part in workshops and creative theatre activities young peoples’ lives can be transformed.

We are especially passionate about providing opportunities for young people who may not otherwise have the chance to explore their creative skills and we specialise in projects where creativity can be a catalyst for social change.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

We are always keen to hear from young people or those that support them with ideas for new initiatives and programmes. We regularly create bespoke workshops to meet the needs of different groups so do get in touch with us if you’d like to work with us.

Some of our outreach projects are delivered in partnership with specific schools, colleges or community groups whereas others bring together like minded individuals who might not have met before.

You can find out about the outreach projects we are currently running below.

Project Purple

Project Purple is a brand new youth theatre launching in January 2024. Each term we will work with a different group of young people who have an interest in drama and performing. Each term runs for ten weeks and sessions are held at our base in Woking.

For our first term, we are looking for 16 young people aged 13-18 (years 9 -13) who have passion for Drama and are currently in receipt of free school meals. Over the ten week programme, participants will learn performance and devising skills to help build their confidence, form new friendships and explore their creativity. A hot meal will be provided for each participant and we can contribute to travel costs. There will also be an exciting opportunity to create their own performance to show to friends and family at the end of term.

Our holiday programmes are designed to be fun, engaging, and inclusive. We offer a range of drama activities, from improvisation and scriptwriting to acting, directing and designing. Our experienced and friendly staff are passionate about helping young people to discover their talents and build their confidence.

We regularly run holiday programmes for children ages 8 - 16 with and without learning disabilities. Our next holiday project is likely to be Easter 2024.
