The Story of Us is a pioneering new theatre and activism project from Peer Productions. For this final stage of this Arts Council England funded project we are developing digital resources for professionals who work with learning disabled young people and a small team of six actors have adapted the play to share their story of ambition, hope and friendship with teenagers with learning disabilities.

When 14 year-old Gemma Evans and 17 year-old Mark Whitehead go missing, everyone is concerned for Gemmaʼs safety. As the police question Gemmaʼs friends, it becomes obvious that the boy she may have run away with comes from an abusive family. Could the cycle be about to repeat itself? That Guy uses a peer education model to explore domestic abuse and healthy / unhealthy relationships, as well as their relevance to young people and where help can be sought.

LBA - Love, Beauty and Attraction is a play by British playwright Nina Lemon. It is inspired by the experiences of young Indian people.

The play starts on the day of high school graduation where Bal, Jai, Sana, Akash, Hari and Anika tell their stories. Told through a series of flashbacks, each character takes control of the narrative to look back on their teenage years.
