Kirsty Blewett
Kirsty Blewett was a member of the Peer Productions company 2011-2012. From here she went on to train at Rose Bruford. She is now the Artistic Director of Lobster Frock; a surrealist, feminist theatre company that celebrates unsung heroines. Their debut production ‘The Pursuit of Success’ has been supported by Theatre Deli and ARC Stockton. It is programmed to tour in 2021.
Since graduating, Kirsty has been working as a freelance Drama Facilitator and Youth Theatre Director. She is a resident lead at Bruford Youth Theatre. She has worked independently on various projects with organisations such as Arts Depot and NCS: The Challenge.
Kirsty is also a freelance actor-deviser with puppetry experience. She specialises in interactive and immersive productions. Her recent acting credits include: The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival (Dank Parish, 2019), The Pursuit of Success (Theatre Deli, 2019 and Stanley Halls, 2018), Rebel Jester’s Inspiring Women Storytelling Night (Theatre Deli, 2019), FemFest Scratch Night (Theatre Deli, 2018), Emergency Exit Arts (Storming the Streets: site-related, outdoor version of The Tempest), Dank Parish (Various venues at Boomtown Festival 2015-2019) and Secret Cinema (G.O.O.D based on cult film Brazil and Saturday Night Fever).
Kirsty joined Peer Productions in 2020 to work on The Motherline Project and is now working on Mind Games as well!
